Fundraising Initiatives

In addition to the Annual Fund, the Bishop PTO has different fundraising initiatives throughout the year, as listed below.

Bishop School Spirit Gear
SPIRIT (WEAR) DAY! The first Friday of every month students are encouraged to wear their Bishop t-shirts or Bishop colors (yellow/gold and blue). The Bishop PTO sells reasonably priced Bishop School logo wear. There will be opportunities to buy spirit wear all year at various PTO sponsored events.

Bishop Pumpkin Sale
The Bishop Pumpkin Sale is a fun annual event in October when pumpkins, cider, cider doughnuts and other festive treats are available to the school and local community for purchase.

Walk-A-Thon
The Walk-A-Thon is held in the fall each year in the Bishop field after school. This is a fun event for students in grades K-5 who can set up a personal fundraising page for family and friends to support and encourage their Bishop walkers!

Original Works
The PTO teamed up with Original Works to offer an exciting art-based program at our school. Through Original Works you can purchase a variety of products featuring your child’s very own artwork while also supporting the Bishop school community. This initiative is held before the winter holidays and purchases can make great personalized gifts for loved ones!

Read-A-Thon
The Read-A-Thon is a 3 week program held in early winter. It is a fantastic way to engage kids in reading and also raises funds to help support wonderful things like enrichment programs and teacher/classroom needs. Students can create a personal page online where friends and family can make a donation in support of their efforts.

Bishop Bear Fair
The Bear Fair is a great community tradition when the Bishop field is transformed with games, bounce houses, the famous tarp maze, and more! Food, drinks and many other treats are also available for purchase to help support the PTO.

Additional information on these initiatives/events is included in the PTO newsletters and on the Bishop PTO Facebook page throughout the year.
