BISHOP FIELD DAY
Monday, May 19th 2025 is the Bishop School Field Day (rain date Tuesday May 20th). The kids are gearing up and super excited for this fun day. Mr. Scopa, our physical education teacher, has a lot of fun games and activities planned. We need parent volunteers to assist in making this a great day. So if you enjoy watching kids having fun and getting exercise (and who doesn't?) you'll want to sign up for this event. Slots are available here. Thank you!
PTO for 2025-2026 & 2026-2027
The PTO has four vacancies for next year, and we are looking for volunteers to fill these spots. If you are interested in learning more about the following roles, please reach out to the person in parentheses (that's the person who currently holds the role) or email us at bishopschool.pto@gmail.com and we'll connect you. PTO Board Members hold their positions for two years.
-
Co-President (Mandy Brush, moving to President next year)
-
Co-Treasurer (Sabrina Gauvin)
-
Recording Secretary (Jessica Kaplan)
-
Communications (Valerie Geary)
One of the main questions we get is, "How do you guys have time to do this?" And the answer is: We don't! The current members of the PTO have 16 children between us, and we all work outside of the home. We work as a team; many hands make for lighter work. We do this because it is rewarding and is truly one of the best ways to connect with our community.
Go to the Volunteer Page to see some reasons why it is worth joining the PTO, despite busy schedules and other priorities. Or please reach out to the PTO if interested in learning more about how to fit volunteering into your schedule bishopschool.pto@gmail.com.
GREEN TEAM
Parent Volunteers
We are also needing two parent volunteers for each classroom during the planting session. It will be a super fun opportunity with the students and also help us to make the event successful!
