Staff Appreciation Week
April 12, 2021 through April 16, 2021
Thanks to our Bishop community, we were able to shower our Bishop staff with gestures of appreciations during Staff Appreciation Week! A huge THANK YOU to Lindsay Sweeney and all of our classroom parents for making the week such a success.
Staff appreciation week is just around the corner: April 12 though 16, 2021. We use this week to express our thanks and gratitude to the Bishop teachers and staff for all that they do for our children. We refer to this week as "Staff Appreciation Week" and not "Teacher Appreciation Week" to honor all the staff throughout Bishop that support our children's learning and social development.
The PTO is planning activities for each day of the week. We have found that many past activities are beloved and anticipated by staff, students and families, so we plan to carry on those traditions again this year. This year's activities and schedule include:
Appreciation postcards
Two postcards with instructions will be distributed to students the week of April 5th. Please use these postcards to write or draw messages of appreciation to teachers, assistants, and other staff. Students may return the postcards the week of April 12 to a collection box in the main office, or personally deliver the cards to the staff member. The PTO will distribute cards left in the collection box. Extra postcards will be available in the main office during staff appreciation week.
Daily Raffle
A daily drawing for a gift card to some local favorites! The children really get excited cheering for their teacher.
Monday 4/12 – Chalk Messages
Please use the weekend days (Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11) to write chalk messages of appreciation to teachers and staff on the sidewalks and walkways around the school that will be there to greet them on Monday morning. Buckets of chalk will be placed around the building, so swing by over the weekend to leave notes and drawings of gratitude for your favorite staff.
Monday 4/12 –Breakfast Buffet
The PTO is bringing staff delicious breakfast treats to start their day (and week) off right!
Wednesday 4/14 – Catered Lunch
Teachers and staff will receive a catered lunch after dismissal.
Friday 4/16 – Sweet Treats
We'll wrap up the week with afternoon sweets for the staff from Butternut Bakehouse!
Please feel free to reach out to Lindsay Sweeney, Class Parent Coordinator, or your individual class parent(s) with questions.
