Virtual Read-a-thon
Monday, February 8th through Sunday, February 28th
WOW!
The Read-A-Thon was a huge success with your amazing children logging 122,025 reading minutes and raising $17,306 in donations! We couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of Bishop parents, teachers, staff and the students themselves. It was very rewarding to hear about students getting so excited about reading. Thank you for sharing your stories with us and encouraging your children along the way.
A big congratulations is in order for Ms Thom’s class who won the class prize for the most minutes logged (13,803)! Coincidentally, the student who logged the most minutes is also in Ms Thom’s class. The winner logged an impressive 4,528 minutes! It did not go unnoticed however, that there were a number of students who worked really hard on the last weekend to log extra minutes, hit reward thresholds, and their own personal goals. They should all be really proud of themselves!
Lastly, the raffle winners were chosen using the Google Random Number Generator, and the Read-A-Thon coordinators have contacted the individual students and families who have won the raffles. We’d also like to extend a big thank you to Butternut Bakery (owned by a Bishop family!) and Andrina’s Pizzeria for generously donating gift cards to our fundraiser!
Thank you again for making this a successful event and fundraiser!
