Bishop School PTO Events - 2015/2016
Below is a list of some of the key activities throughout the year. We will be updating with more details as plans are made. If you have ideas or are interested in volunteering at any of these events, please contact us.

September 8 (Grades 1-5) and September 15 (Kindergarten) - Back to School Coffees for Parents and Caregivers
Meet other Bishop parents over coffee and learn more about PTO events and activities.
October 9 - Picture Day
A professional photographer will take individual and class pictures. Volunteers are needed to help comb hair and straighten collars! This is small but meaningful effort. Contact Mary Ellen Aronow to volunteer.
October 17 - Pumpkin Sale (5th grade)
A great fall event! Volunteers are needed to cover hourly shifts for the sale; pumpkins, hay bales, caramel apples and hot cider are among our offerings. Contact Rosemary Foster to volunteer.
October 23 - Walk a Thon (4th grade event)
This is an after school, optional event, that brings students of all grades together for an afternoon of walking (or running!) and fundraising. An easy online pledge system is provided and prizes are awarded. Volunteers are needed to track laps completed, cheer, & provide snacks. Contact Shannon Knuth to help.
December 3 - Craft Fair (1st grade event)
Come see the talents of Bishop crafters at the annual pre-holiday craft fair. Crafters contact Mary Ellen Aronow to register and learn more.
January 8 - Movie Night (K event)
Back by popular demand. Last year’s showing of Dolphin Tale brought many Bishop families together on a wintry Friday night. What will be this year’s movie choice? Contact Jennifer Badua to help.
January 29 - Bishop Night Out (2nd grade event)
An evening for parents and teachers to come together and socialize. Contact Rosemary Foster to volunteer
February 24 - Science Night
Contact Rosemary Foster to volunteer.
March 14-18 - Bishop Pride Week
March 18-20 - Bishop Play Performances
April 11 - 15 - Teacher Appreciation Week
A great week of celebrating Bishop teachers, administrators and staff last year! Contact Katherine Reisz-Hanson to join the team.
April 30 - Bishop Clean-Up and Recycling Day (3rd grade event)
May 21 - Bear Fair
Our most significant fundraiser of the year, the Bear Fair is a well-known school tradition and draws people from all over town (and beyond). We need many hands on the day of the fair. Contact Laura Fuller to learn more.
