Enrichment at Bishop
The largest allocation of PTO funding each year is towards enrichment - bringing in outside educators and performers to the school to complement and enhance the curriculum and the school themes of Respect, Responsibility, and Regard for others. This is coordinated by the PTO Enrichment Committee. Enrichment can occur in the form of large group assemblies or smaller scale presentations or workshops in support of, and coordinated with, specific areas of grade-level curriculum. Each year, the Enrichment Committee adjusts and enhances the programming based on teacher input.
While transition to remote learning in the spring prevented some of our enrichment programming, the PTO spent $11,000 on Enrichment for our students during the 2019–2020 school year. Themes were around Science, Engineering, Math, Art, Culture, Social Studies, and Geography.
